The National Stock Exchange (NSE), India’s largest equity bourse, has announced a ₹380 crore healthcare project as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The move comes at a time when NSE is preparing for its much-awaited initial public offering (IPO), adding a strong social impact angle to its corporate image.
NSE will fund an 11-storey multi-speciality hospital block and India’s largest bone marrow transplant (BMT) centre at Tata Memorial Hospital’s ACTREC campus in Navi Mumbai. Built by L&T, the facility will cover 2.4 lakh sq ft and is scheduled to begin operations by July 2027. It is expected to handle around 1.3 lakh OPD visits annually and conduct over 600 BMT procedures each year.
The NSE Foundation has partnered with Tata Memorial Centre’s ACTREC for this project. NSE Managing Director and CEO Ashishkumar believes that this could have a lasting impact on the lives of thousands of cancer patients.
With its IPO plans underway, such initiatives also highlight NSE’s commitment to nation-building, potentially strengthening investor confidence by showcasing its broader role beyond financial markets.
Corporate social responsibility often plays a role in shaping a company’s long-term reputation. For NSE, investing in healthcare projects not only fulfills regulatory CSR obligations but also positions it as a socially conscious organisation.
At a time when environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics are gaining investor attention globally, this ₹380 crore initiative reinforces NSE’s image as a responsible corporate leader.

The upcoming IPO is expected to be one of the most closely watched listings in India’s financial sector. By funding a project that directly addresses critical gaps in cancer care, NSE has combined business responsibility with social impact. This move strengthens its brand equity, appealing not just to traders and institutions, but also to investors seeking companies with strong ESG credentials.
