
The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) has announced the introduction of futures and options contracts on 6 individual securities, effective April 1, 2026.
This move follows the stock selection criteria set by SEBI and aims to enhance trading opportunities for market participants.
The NSE has listed 6 securities for the new futures and options contracts. These include Adani Power Limited, Cochin Shipyard Limited, Hyundai Motor India Limited, Motilal Oswal Financial Services Limited, Nippon Life India Asset Management Limited, and Vishal Mega Mart Limited.
The introduction of these contracts is subject to the fulfilment of eligibility criteria based on the Quarter sigma computation cycle of March 2026.
The market lot and scheme of strikes for these securities will be communicated to members on March 30, 2026, through a separate circular.
Additionally, details of the applicable quantity freeze will be available in the contract file, which will be applicable for trading from April 1, 2026.
Members are advised to update their trading applications with the latest contract files before the effective trading date.
The updated contract.gz and NSE_FO_contract_ddmmyyyy.csv.gz files can be downloaded from the faoftp/faocommon directory on the Extranet server.
