As per Economic Times report, in a move aimed at driving innovation and unlocking monetisation opportunities, Nokia and Bharti Airtel have collaborated to allow developers and enterprises access to Airtel’s network features via Nokia’s platform.

This initiative will encourage the development of next-generation digital services across industries.

Network APIs Now Available to Developers and Enterprises

Nokia has partnered with Airtel to launch a significant initiative allowing third-party developers, enterprises, and system integrators to subscribe to Airtel's network APIs using Nokia’s Network as Code platform.

This enables software creation involving advanced telecom functions, enhancing digital services by incorporating AI, 5G, and edge computing capabilities.

Following successful trials, Airtel's extensive national network can now be leveraged by developers for innovative applications that rely on real-time network intelligence, latency-sensitive computing, and automated functionalities.

Empowering Digital Innovation Through Collaboration

This strategic collaboration gives developers access to core telco resources like location verification, quality of service controls, and user data security.

These APIs, offered through a subscription model, help developers build customised, secure, and scalable services suited to industry-specific needs such as fintech, healthcare, logistics, and education.

Nokia Expands Network as Code Global Ecosystem

With this partnership, Nokia’s platform continues to grow globally, now boasting over 60 partners. These include telecom operators, AI-based solution providers, data centre firms, CPaaS platforms, system integrators, and software vendors.

It positions Network as Code as a promising ecosystem supporting innovation and monetisation for telecom assets around the globe.
