As of 12:05:30 PM IST, the Nifty 50 staged a modest recovery from its lowest point and was trading at a Last Traded Price (LTP) of 24,075.30, down by 100.35 points or 0.42% for the day.

Grasim Industries (GRASIM) gained 14.20 points (+0.43%) to reach an LTP of 3,304.20, while telecom leader Bharti Airtel (BHARTIARTL) grew by 7.70 points (+0.41%) to stand at an LTP of 1,890.10. Energy major Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) rounded out the top five gainers, adding 0.93 points (+0.40%) to rest at 233.18.
Conversely, heavy liquidations were witnessed across metal, IT, and conglomerate heavyweights. Adani Enterprises (ADANIENT) emerged as the steepest underperformer, sliding 72.20 points (-2.28%) to an LTP of 3,096.30. Metal majors Tata Steel (TATASTEEL) and Hindalco Industries (HINDALCO) faced steep downside momentum; Tata Steel lost 4.07 points (-2.18%) to hit 182.43, while Hindalco contracted by 21.40 points (-2.06%) down to 1,016.00.
The technology sector also faced intense correction as Wipro (WIPRO) fell 3.67 points (-2.03%) to an LTP of 177.28, and Infosys (INFY) dipped 22.20 points (-1.94%) to land at an LTP of 1,121.80.
