NCC Limited has informed the stock exchanges that it has received a work order for the expansion and modernisation of Gauhati Medical College & Hospital in Guwahati, Assam.
The information was shared in a filing dated November 25, 2025, and the order was confirmed through a Letter of Acceptance issued on November 21, 2025, by the Public Works (Health & Education) Department of Assam.
The order is valued at ₹2,062.71 crore, excluding GST. The scope involves hospital expansion and infrastructure upgrades within the existing medical facility. The department has issued the contract under general conditions typically used for government construction work. The order has been categorised as a domestic contract awarded by a state authority.
According to the filing, the work has been divided into different stages over a total period of 42 months. The first 6 months will be used for demolition, planning, designing, and engineering. Actual construction is scheduled to run across the next 36 months, covering the full expansion and modernisation programme at the medical college and hospital.
The order also includes responsibility for 5 years of operations and maintenance once construction is finished. This maintenance period covers civil structures and service-related works at the facility. The O&M portion forms part of the same awarded project and begins only after the building phase is completed.
NCC stated in the filing that it has no related-party involvement in the order. Neither the promoters nor any associated group entities hold any interest in the awarding department. The contract has been obtained without such links and therefore does not fall under related-party classification based on disclosure norms.
