MakeMyTrip has announced a partnership with Google Cloud to upgrade its Myra platform, leveraging advanced AI to deliver more personalised and efficient travel planning. The collaboration aims to simplify trip planning by creating tailored itineraries based on user preferences, budgets, and travel constraints, enhancing the overall customer experience.
The partnership focuses on integrating Google Cloud’s AI capabilities into Myra to improve the accuracy and efficiency of travel planning. Myra can now generate personalised itineraries by analysing traveller preferences, reviews, maps, and other reliable data sources.
The platform also offers intuitive destination suggestions, enabling users to discover options that suit their needs more effectively.
MakeMyTrip has developed custom AI models that work alongside Google’s Gemini, Gemma, Veo, and Imagen models. These tools allow travellers to optimise trips within constraints such as budget, duration, and personal preferences, producing more robust and tailored travel plans than conventional chatbot based solutions.
A key aspect of this enhancement is hybrid communication support. Users can interact with Myra through text, audio, images, and video, creating a more conversational and engaging trip planning experience.
Additionally, the AI models support voice based guidance in vernacular languages, making travel planning accessible to a wider audience across India.
As per news reports, Rajesh Magow, Co founder and Group CEO of MakeMyTrip, highlighted the growing complexity of travel planning and the company’s commitment to making every step simpler and more personal. By incorporating Google Cloud’s AI, MakeMyTrip aims to innovate faster and provide features that continue to evolve, ensuring a more seamless experience for its users.
Karan Bajwa, President of Asia Pacific at Google Cloud, noted that AI at the core of Myra allows MakeMyTrip to deliver personalised and efficient travel experiences while building a flexible platform for future innovations in online travel.
