LG Electronics Launches "ESSENTIAL SERIES": New Home Appliances Made for India

LG Electronics India Ltd. (LGEIL) has announced a new product range called the Essential Series, developed entirely with Indian consumer feedback. This is the company’s first major initiative after its public listing. The products have been designed to address everyday household needs, focusing on practicality, durability, and affordability.
Developed Through Consumer Research
To create the new lineup, LG engaged with over 1,200 Indian families across different regions. The study helped identify common issues such as low water pressure, humidity, dust, and power fluctuations. Based on these findings, the company designed products suited to Indian conditions and daily usage patterns.
Product Lineup
The Essential Series includes 4 key appliances: a double-door refrigerator, a fully automatic top-load washing machine, a room air conditioner, and a convertible oven. Each product incorporates basic technologies meant to improve usability and reduce maintenance.
The refrigerator features frost-free technology and Smart Mode for automatic temperature control. It also has 20% more vegetable storage space than earlier versions. The washing machine comes with Low Pressure Fill technology for homes with low water supply, and a ProShield Motor protected against dust and moisture.
The air conditioner includes Energy Manager+, which helps users monitor electricity use, and Diet Mode+ to regulate cooling and airflow. The convertible oven includes Auto Cook menus for dishes like paneer, dal, and ghee, with options for air frying and convection cooking.
Availability and Pricing
The new product range will be available across India starting in November 2025. Prices will begin at around ₹18,000, depending on the model. The appliances will be sold through LG brand stores, multi-brand retailers, and major e-commerce platforms.
