Lemon Tree Hotels Limited has announced the signing of a License Agreement for a new property in Dehradun, furthering its expansion across Uttarakhand, as per exchange filings.
The upcoming Lemon Tree Hotel, Mohkampur, Dehradun, will be operated by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company.
The Dehradun property will feature 98 well-appointed rooms, along with a restaurant, lounge, conference room, swimming pool, fitness centre and other recreational amenities. The hotel is strategically located as part of the Mall of Dehradun, the city’s leading lifestyle and retail hub.
It is positioned 18 km from Jolly Grant Airport and 9 km from Dehradun Railway Station, and is well connected by both public and private road transport, making it accessible to business and leisure travellers alike.
Situated in the Doon Valley, at the foothills of the Himalayas, Dehradun lies between the Song River, a tributary of the Ganges, and the Asan River, a tributary of the Yamuna. The city is renowned for its scenic beauty, pleasant climate and reputed educational institutions such as the Doon School, Welham Boys’ and Girls’, Indian Military Academy, Forest Research Institute, Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy, Rashtriya Indian Military College, Uttarakhand Ayurveda University, Wadia Institute of Himalayan Geology and the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing.
It also houses the headquarters of the Surveyor-General of India, and is famous for its Basmati rice and bakery products.
