Larsen & Toubro (L&T), one of India’s top infrastructure and engineering companies, has won a major contract in the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) project. Commonly known as the bullet train project, this development is a big step forward for India’s transportation system.
L&T's Transportation Infrastructure division received the order from the National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL). The company will be responsible for the design, supply, construction, testing, and commissioning of 156 kilometres of high-speed, ballastless track.

This is not L&T’s first contract for the MAHSR project. In April 2022, it had already won Package T3, a 116 km stretch from south of Vadodara to Sabarmati depot.
