Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd. (IRFC), a Government of India enterprise, has informed stock exchanges that a meeting of its Board of Directors is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
During this meeting, the board will consider consider the declaration of an interim dividend for shareholders for the financial year 2025–26.
As per Regulation 42 of the SEBI Listing Regulations, the company has set Friday, October 24, 2025, as the record date to determine shareholders eligible to receive the interim dividend.
The record date is the cut-off date set by a company to determine which shareholders are eligible to receive a dividend. In IRFC’s case, October 24, 2025, is the record date for the interim dividend.
Investors holding shares in a demat account must ensure their details are accurate and updated with their depository participants before the record date to avoid any issues with eligibility or credit of the dividend amount.
IRFC has also notified that the trading window remains closed for insiders and designated persons from October 1, 2025, and will reopen 48 hours after the declaration of financial results and interim dividend.
This is in accordance with the SEBI (Prohibition of Insider Trading) Regulations, 2015.
IRFC highlighted that dividend income is taxable in the hands of shareholders, and the company is required to deduct tax at source (TDS) at applicable rates under the Income Tax Act, 1961.
