IndiGo has announced a special customer support programme titled ‘Gesture of Care’ (GoC) to assist passengers impacted by widespread flight delays and cancellations earlier this month. The initiative follows significant operational disruptions between December 3 and 5, 2025, which caused inconvenience to thousands of travellers.
Under the GoC package, eligible passengers will receive travel vouchers worth ₹10,000, split into two vouchers of ₹5,000 each. The airline stated that the move reflects its commitment to prioritising customer care and restoring confidence.
The GoC package applies to passengers whose flights were significantly disrupted between 12 noon on December 3 and the end of December 5, 2025. Eligibility requires that the flight was delayed or cancelled within 4 hours of the scheduled departure, with the total delay exceeding 3 hours.
Infants and minors are also included under the scheme, with vouchers issued to their parent or legal guardian. IndiGo stated that compensation is provided on a per-passenger basis, ensuring fairness for group bookings.
Eligible passengers will receive two vouchers of ₹5,000 each, totalling ₹10,000 per individual. The vouchers are single-use, non-transferable, and issued in the passenger’s name. They are valid for 12 months from the date of issuance, allowing bookings within this period even if travel occurs later.
These vouchers can be redeemed for flight bookings and add-ons such as pre-booked meals, seat selection, and excess baggage when booked through IndiGo’s official website. There are no restrictions on fare class, blackout dates, or booking type.
IndiGo will deliver vouchers via email through a secure link to eligible passengers. Those without a registered email address can update their contact details and receive vouchers within 24 hours.
The airline emphasised that the process is designed to be seamless and customer-friendly. By offering flexibility in redemption and eliminating blackout dates, IndiGo aims to ensure that affected passengers can plan future travel without constraints.
