IKEA India is to open its 2nd city-format store in Delhi-NCR on July 30, 2026, at DLF Avenue, Saket. The outlet spans nearly 30,000 sq ft and will serve customers in South and Central Delhi, as per The Moneycontrol report.

The Saket outlet follows the company's first city-format store at Pacific Mall, Tagore Garden. IKEA entered the Delhi-NCR market through e-commerce in 2025 before opening its first physical store in the region.

More Stores Planned

The retailer said it could have around 6 stores across Delhi-NCR in the next few years. The proposed network includes both city-format outlets and large-format stores across Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, and Faridabad.

Large-format stores have already been announced for Noida and Gurugram. The company said there is capacity to add two more stores in the region, with Faridabad being one of the locations under consideration.

It added that customer response from the first Delhi-NCR store has been used while planning future locations.

Different Store Formats

IKEA has introduced city-format stores alongside its larger outlets in India. Large-format stores generally cover more than 4 lakh sq ft, while city-format stores range from 15,000 sq ft to 80,000 sq ft, depending on the location.

The company said Delhi-NCR has more than 3 lakh IKEA Family members. It is also evaluating opportunities in quick commerce and e-commerce fulfilment but has not announced any expansion of its delivery network.

Investment in India

Earlier this month, IKEA India said it plans to operate around 30 stores across the country by 2030. The network will include both city-format and large-format outlets.

The retailer has also announced plans to increase its investment in India to more than ₹21,000 crore by 2030.

Through its online business, IKEA currently serves customers in cities including Agra, Prayagraj, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Ludhiana, and Varanasi.
