Empowering Women Through Housing Ownership
Aligning with women's empowerment, PMAY-Urban 2.0 promotes ownership in the female head’s or the joint name in families. This not only secures shelter but also strengthens socio-economic inclusion. The scheme continues to play a key role in building an equitable and inclusive urban society.
Conclusion
The latest approval under PMAY-Urban 2.0 adds momentum to the mission of providing affordable housing for all in urban India. With over 10,00,000 homes sanctioned and special provisions like female ownership and infrastructure mapping, the scheme ensures progress with inclusivity.
