Gold prices rose, with spot gold increasing by 0.73% to $4,636.82 per ounce, after earlier reaching their highest point since May 15, 2026.
This surge comes on the heels of a strong performance last week, where gold prices gained over 5%. The US gold futures experienced a notable surge, surpassing $4,700 per ounce as of 4:51 PM.
According to an NDTV Profit report, gold prices in global markets touched their highest level in more than 3 months as investors awaited key US inflation data and a speech later in the week by Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh.
