State-run GAIL (India) Ltd has announced a final dividend of ₹1 per share for the financial year ended March 31, 2025. The dividend recommendation, amounting to 10% of the face value of equity shares, is subject to shareholder approval at the company’s upcoming 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for August 29, 2025.
GAIL has confirmed that August 4, 2025, will be the record date to determine which shareholders are eligible for the dividend. Only those holding GAIL shares in their demat accounts on this date will receive the dividend payout, once approved.
If approved at the AGM, GAIL’s final dividend will be paid out within the statutory time frame. The company informed the stock exchanges about the record date and upcoming AGM through an official filing.
GAIL Limited is a government-owned Indian energy company primarily engaged in the trading, transmission, production, and distribution of natural gas. The company also operates in areas like renewable energy (including solar and wind power), telecom and telemetry services, and electricity generation.

The stock opened at ₹173.70 and touched an intraday high of ₹174.63 and a low of ₹172.50. GAIL has a market capitalisation of ₹1.14 lakh crore, with a price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of 9.78. The stock offers a healthy dividend yield of 4.33%. Its 52-week high stands at ₹245.00, while the 52-week low is ₹150.52. The most recent quarterly dividend amount is ₹1.87 per share.
With a consistent dividend track record, GAIL continues to reward its shareholders. Investors holding shares on or before August 4 will be eligible for the ₹1 final dividend, subject to approval during the company’s AGM.
