Closing Bell: Nifty & Sensex Ended in Green; ONGC Leads Gainers on January 7, 2025

On January 7, 2025, the BSE Sensex ended in green closing at 78,199.11, up by 0.30% and the NSE Nifty50 closed at 23,707.90, rising by 91.85 points or 0.39%.

On Tuesday, Nifty IT ended in the red. Nifty Oil & Gas, Nifty MidSmall Healthcare and Nifty Media ended in green. Nifty Oil & Gas and Nifty Media rose by over 1%.

Top Gainers and Losers

On Tuesday, the top gainers on the Nifty included ONGC, SBI Life Insurance Company and HDFC Life Insurance Company. In contrast, the losers were Trent, HCL Technologies and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).

Oil Prices
