Closing Bell: Sensex, Nifty Closed in Green; HDFC Bank Leads Gainers on December 4

On December 4, 2024, both the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty50 ended the day in green. The BSE Sensex closed at 80,956.33, up by 110.58 points or 0.14%. Similarly, the Nifty50 also closed at 24,467.45, up by 10.30 points or 0.04%.
Sectoral Performance
On Wednesday, Nifty FMCG, Nifty Auto and Nifty Oil & Gas ended in the red. Nifty PSU Bank, Nifty Realty and Nifty Financial Services ended in the green. Nifty PSU Bank and Nifty Realty rose by more than 2%.
Top Gainers and Losers
On Wednesday, the top gainers on the Nifty included HDFC Life Insurance Company, HDFC Bank and Bajaj Finserv. In contrast, the losers were Bharti Airtel, Cipla and Bajaj Auto.
Oil Prices
As of December 4, 2024, at 03:37 PM, Brent Crude was trading at $74.25, up by 0.86%.
