Closing Bell: Nifty 50 and Sensex, Metal, Pharma Shares Led the Fall

On November 07, 2024, the benchmark equity indices ended in red. Nifty 50 was down 1.16% and settled at 24,199.35 while Sensex was down 1.04% to 79,541.79. Nifty Bank was down 0.77% to 51,916.50. The volatility indicator Nifty VIX was up 1.05% to 15.03, reflecting a rise in volatility.
Sectoral Performance
All sectors closed in red, Nifty Metal, Nifty Pharma and Nifty Realty were the most falling sectors with a fall of 2.73%, 1.72% and 1.43%, respectively.
Top Gainer and Losers
Apollo Hospitals, SBI, HDFC Life, and TCS were the top gainers for the day, while Hindalco, Trent, Grasim, Shriram Finance and Adani Enterprises were the top losers on the NSE.
Oil Prices
On November 07, 2024, at 03:58 PM, Brent Crude stood at $74.52, reflecting a fall of 0.53%.
