Closing Bell: Nifty 50 and Sensex Closed Higher, Metal Stocks Shine

On November 05, 2024, the Indian equity indices ended in green. Nifty 50 was up 0.91% and settled at 24,213.30 while Sensex was up 0.88% to 79,476.63. Nifty Bank was up 1.94% to 52,207.25. The volatility indicator Nifty VIX was down 4.08% to 16.01, reflecting a fall in volatility.
Sectoral Performance
Nifty Metal, Nifty Financial Services, Nifty Auto gained the most with a rise of 2.84%, 1.98%, and 1.13%, respectively. Nifty FMCG and Nifty Media fell 0.34% and 0.23%, respectively.
Top Gainer and Losers
JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Hindalco, Bajaj Auto and Axis Bank were the top gainers for the day, while Trent, Adani Ports, Asian Paints, ITC, and Infosys were the top losers on the NSE.
Oil Prices
On November 05, 2024, at 04:10 PM, Brent Crude stood at $75.48, reflecting a rise of 0.53%.
