Closing Bell: Nifty 50 and Sensex Closed Lower, All Sector Settled Lower

On November 04, 2024, the Indian equity indices ended in red. Nifty 50 was down 1.27% and settled at 23,995.35 while Sensex was down 1.18% to 78,782.24. Nifty Bank was down 0.89% to 51,215.25. The volatility indicator Nifty VIX was up 5.01% to 16.70, reflecting a rise in volatility.
Sectoral Performance
All the sectors ended in red on November 4, 2024. Nifty Realty, Nifty Oil & Gas, Nifty Media and Nifty Metal fell most with a drop of 2.93%, 2.48%, 2.16% and 1.57%, respectively.
Top Gainer and Losers
M&M, Tech Mahindra, Cipla, SBI, Dr Reddy’s were the top gainers for the day, while Hero MotoCorp, Grasim Industries, Bajaj Auto, Adani Ports and BPCL were the top losers on the NSE.
Oil Prices
On November 04, 2024, at 3:55 PM, Brent Crude stood at $75.04, reflecting a rise of 2.65%.
