Closing Bell: Nifty 50 and Sensex Closed Lower, Media and Realty Stock Shines

On November 14, 2024, the benchmark equity indices settled lower. Nifty 50 was down 0.11% and settled at 23,532.70 while Sensex was down 0.14% to 77,580.31. Nifty Bank was up 0.18% to 50,179.55. The volatility indicator Nifty VIX was down 4.27% to 14.78, reflecting a fall in volatility.

Sectoral Performance

Nifty Media and Nifty Realty ended with a gain of 2.26% and 1.03%, respectively. While Nifty FMCG and Nifty PSU Bank fell 1.53% and 0.70%, respectively.

Top Gainer and Losers

Eicher Motors, Hero MotoCorp, Grasim Industries, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and HDFC Life were the top gainers for the day. While Hindustan Unilever, BPCL, Britannia, Tata Consumer, and Nestle India were the top losers on the NSE.

Oil Prices
