Brightcom Group has announced a bold foray into next-generation defence technology with the planned launch of a new division dedicated to aerospace intelligence and autonomous aerial defence software.
The initiative, officially disclosed on 1 August 2025, aims to harness Brightcom’s deep expertise in AI, machine learning, and real-time data processing to expand beyond digital advertising and into the strategic defence domain. The proposal is expected to be placed before the board for formal approval in the upcoming meeting.
Calling it “an important milestone” in the company’s evolution, Chairman and MD Suresh Reddy highlighted Brightcom’s intent to address the rapidly evolving global defence landscape. “We are looking to leverage our extensive relationships, capitalise on our years of expertise in data-driven decision-making and AI/ML, and drive innovation in high-impact sectors,” he said.
Reddy confirmed that upcoming announcements would include the official name of the division and appointments of domain leaders with defence and aerospace credentials. “This initiative sets the stage for the next version of Brightcom,” he added, signalling the company's ambition to lead in a sector expected to surpass $25 billion in value over the next decade.
The new division will centre on high-priority areas such as AI-powered flight systems for UAVs, real-time threat detection, drone swarm coordination, cybersecurity for aerial platforms, and advanced mission simulation engines. Brightcom intends to collaborate with governments, defence innovators, and global partners to enhance domestic and allied aerospace capabilities.
With over 25 years of experience in managing data flow, real-time computing, and complex software systems, the company believes it is well-positioned to innovate in this emerging space while continuing to build on its digital marketing foundation.
