Bikaji Foods International Limited has released an official statement in response to the summons issued by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002. The matter relates to transactions associated with the Rajasthan Premier League conducted by the Rajasthan Cricket Association.
The company clarified that its role in the Rajasthan Premier League was restricted solely to sponsorship. This sponsorship was undertaken in the ordinary course of business with the objective of brand promotion, visibility, and outreach. Bikaji stressed that it had no role in the management, operational, or conduct-related aspects of the league.
All payments made by Bikaji Foods towards sponsorship were executed transparently through valid banking channels. The company emphasised that every transaction was properly documented and accounted for, with full records maintained for inspection. These records will be furnished to the ED whenever required.
The company reiterated its commitment to cooperate fully with the authorities. It assured that its sponsorship decisions are part of a legitimate business strategy aimed at growth, marketing, and expansion. Bikaji further reaffirmed that there was no hidden motive or intent behind the sponsorship.
On September 9, 2025, Bikaji Foods share price (NSE: BIKAJI) opened at ₹791.00 and closed at ₹772.20, down by 1.76%. The stock price touched its day’s low at ₹757.60.
