Bank Nifty Trades Lower on June 2 Amid PSU Bank Gains

On June 2, 2025, Nifty Bank dropped by 79.15 points, declining 0.14% to reach 55,670.55 at 10:48 AM.

The index opened at 55,598.25, dropping from its previous close of 55,749.70. It touched an intraday low of 55,400.55 and a high of 55,787.10.
Major Stocks Driving the Rally in Bank Nifty
- Punjab National Bank rose 2.42% and is trading at ₹108.38.
- Bank of Baroda rose to ₹254.18, adding 4.63 points.
- Federal Bank rose 1.37% and trading at ₹204.83.
- IDFC First Bank at ₹68.85, added 0.88 points.
- Canara Bank rose to ₹115.98, adding 1.22 points.
Only HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank were trading in green, down by over 0.5% each.

Conclusion
Despite some intraday volatility, key banking stocks, like Punjab National Bank and Bank of Baroda led gains, supporting a positive momentum in Bank Nifty.
