Bank Nifty Rallies to 55,592 on May 19; PNB and Federal Bank Among Top Gainers

On May 19, 2025, Nifty Bank surged by 237.40 points, gaining 0.43% to reach 55,592.30 at 11:14 AM. This index close to its 52-week high of 56,098.70, a significant mark considering the 52-week low is 46,077.85.

Major Stocks Driving the Rally in Bank Nifty
- Punjab National Bank rose 1.73% and trading at ₹100.62.
- Federal Bank rose 1.63% and trading at ₹202.27.
- SBI (State Bank of India) at ₹798.50, added 6.40 points.
- Canara Bank rose to ₹108.63, adding 0.87 points.
- Bank of Baroda rose to ₹238.85, adding 1.93 points.
However, IDFC First Bank was a drag on the index, losing 0.26%, trading at ₹69.
