Avenue Supermarts Ltd., the operator of D-Mart, has announced the opening of a new retail store at Gangashahar Road in Bikaner, Rajasthan. With this addition, the company’s total number of operational outlets has increased to 429, further strengthening its nationwide presence.
On 22nd August 2025, Avenue Supermarts informed exchanges that it has opened a new D-Mart store at Gangashahar Road, Bikaner (Rajasthan). This marks another step in the company’s expansion strategy, taking its total store count to 429 across India.
Earlier in June 2025, the company announced the opening of a store in Ratan Mall, Agra (Uttar Pradesh). This was its first major store in the state after Ghaziabad, signaling Avenue Supermarts’ intent to expand further in high-density markets.
For the quarter ended June 2025, Avenue Supermarts reported flat net profit of ₹773 crore, compared to ₹774 crore in the same period last year. Revenue, however, rose 16.3% year-on-year to ₹16,359.7 crore, supported by healthy consumer demand.
EBITDA grew 6.4% to ₹1,299 crore, though margins contracted to 7.94% due to input cost pressures and a change in product mix.
Avenue Supermarts’ share traded at ₹4,677.30 on NSE, slightly lower by 0.31% at 9:20 AM on the NSE from the previous close of ₹4,691.90. The stock moved within a range of ₹4,710.00 to ₹4,673.60 during the session.

With the latest store launch in Bikaner, Avenue Supermarts has expanded its footprint to 429 stores. While the company continues to focus on broadening its retail reach, recent results show margin pressures that highlight operational challenges alongside growth.
