Auto Sales Rise in May 2026: Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Mahindra and Toyota See Growth

Maruti Suzuki Achieves Record Sales
In May 2026, Maruti Suzuki India Limited recorded its highest-ever monthly sales, selling a total of 2,42,688 units. Domestic sales reached 1,93,535 units, an all-time high for the company. Additionally, sales to other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) were 7,239, while export sales stood at 41,914 units.
Hyundai Motor India Sees Increase in Sales
Hyundai Motor India Limited reported a 9.1% year-on-year growth in domestic sales, with 47,837 units sold in May 2026. The company's total monthly sales, including exports of 13,300 units, reached 61,137 units, marking a 4.1% year-on-year increase.
Mahindra & Mahindra Experiences Growth
Mahindra & Mahindra Limited achieved a 20% growth in overall auto sales, including exports, totalling 99,636 vehicles in May 2026. Its domestic commercial vehicle sales saw a 19% increase at 24,079 units, while the utility vehicles segment sold 58,021 vehicles domestically, reflecting an 11% rise.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor Sales Rise
Toyota Kirloskar Motor reported a growth of 7% with sales of 33,128 units in May 2026. This includes 30,574 units sold in the domestic market and exports of 2,554 units.
