On the BSE, the stock listed at ₹519 per share, a premium of 22.12% over the issue price. Following the listing, the company's market capitalisation stood at ₹1,415.97 crore on the BSE.
The MV Electrosystems IPO witnessed strong investor demand during the subscription period. The public issue was subscribed 188.85 times overall.
The retail investor category was subscribed 205.42 times, while the non-institutional investor (NII) portion received 374.58 times subscription. The qualified institutional buyers (QIB) segment was subscribed 90.47 times.
The IPO consisted of a fresh issue, with the company planning to utilise the net proceeds for:
₹180 crore towards long-term working capital requirements.
₹21 crore for research, design and development of new power electronic equipment.
₹53.46 crore for general corporate purposes.
₹35.54 crore towards issue expenses.
MV Electrosystems is engaged in the design, development, assembly and manufacturing of electrical and power electronics equipment used in railway rolling stock. Its product portfolio includes IGBT-based three-phase drive propulsion equipment for electric locomotives, switchgear panels for railway coaches and EMUs, cable protection and management products, and other electrical systems and sub-systems.
MV Electrosystems made a strong stock market debut, listing at a premium of over 22% on both the NSE and BSE. The listing follows robust investor demand for the IPO, which was subscribed nearly 189 times. The company plans to use the IPO proceeds primarily for working capital, research and development, and general corporate purposes.
