On the BSE, the stock listed at ₹242 per share, reflecting a 7.56% premium over the issue price. Following the listing, the company's market capitalisation stood at ₹13,769.76 crore on the BSE.
The Juniper Green Energy IPO received a strong response from investors, with the issue being subscribed 7.97 times overall.
The qualified institutional buyers (QIB) category was subscribed 24.94 times, while the non-institutional investors (NII) portion was booked 182 times. The retail investor segment was subscribed 0.93 times, and the employee category received 3.58 times subscription.
The company plans to utilise the ₹1,800 crore net proceeds from the IPO as follows:
₹683.24 crore for repayment or prepayment of certain borrowings.
₹728.69 crore for investment in material subsidiaries to help repay their outstanding borrowings.
₹295.52 crore for general corporate purposes.
₹92.56 crore towards issue expenses.
Juniper Green Energy is one of India's leading renewable energy independent power producers (IPPs). The company develops, builds, operates and maintains utility-scale renewable energy projects across solar, wind, wind-solar hybrid (WSH), and firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) projects supported by Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). It generates revenue primarily through long-term power purchase agreements with central and state government-backed entities.
