The Maharashtra government has given beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana extra time to correct or complete their e-KYC details following multiple complaints about errors during the initial verification process. State Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare said the extension is intended to ensure that no eligible woman loses benefits due to procedural lapses.
Several applicants had mistakenly selected incorrect options on the official portal. This prompted the state to open a dedicated window for rectification.
The state announced that beneficiaries can now update their e‑KYC details until March 31. The move follows concerns raised by women who encountered errors while completing the digital verification process.
According to Minister Aditi Tatkare, the extension aims to prevent disruption of benefits for eligible recipients. The government emphasised that such procedural issues should not penalise genuine beneficiaries.
The Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, launched in June 2024, offers ₹1,500 per month through Direct Benefit Transfer for eligible women aged 21 to 65. Annual family income must be below ₹2.5 lakh to qualify.
Beneficiaries must not be enrolled in any other state welfare scheme simultaneously. A bank account linked with Aadhaar is mandatory for receiving payments.
Women who have applied for the scheme but have not yet started receiving payments can complete or correct their e-KYC through the official online portal.
Accurate e‑KYC details are essential for uninterrupted Direct Benefit Transfer payments. Errors in Aadhaar information or supporting documents can delay or halt disbursements.
The extended deadline gives beneficiaries adequate time to review their submissions. Ensuring data accuracy also improves administrative efficiency and reduces the need for manual intervention. Beneficiaries are encouraged to verify all fields carefully before submitting the updated information.

The Maharashtra government’s decision to extend the e-KYC correction deadline to March 31 highlights its intent to ensure eligible women continue receiving benefits under the Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. The scheme provides essential monthly financial assistance, making accurate verification critical for uninterrupted payments.
The extension allows beneficiaries additional time to rectify errors or update details. With a simple online correction process and clear eligibility norms, women now have another opportunity to secure their entitlements.
