The Maharashtra government has set March 31, 2026 as the final date for beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme to correct any errors in their e-KYC details. This step aims to ensure eligible women receive the monthly benefit of ₹1,500 under the programme.

Many beneficiaries faced issues because of mistakes made during the online e-KYC process. These errors prevented some women from receiving their payments even after completing the verification. To resolve these problems, the government has opened an online facility where beneficiaries can update or fix incorrect information.

Beneficiaries are urged to complete these corrections well before the deadline to avoid missing out on the scheme benefits. The correction process must be done through the official online portal.

Physical Verification at Local Level

Alongside the online correction facility, the government has also instructed district officials to carry out physical verification of beneficiaries. This effort is being supported by Anganwadi workers, who will visit homes to verify details and assist beneficiaries where needed.

This additional step is aimed at improving accuracy in beneficiary records and ensuring that the right individuals receive the support they are entitled to.

About the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Scheme

The Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme was launched by the Maharashtra government in June 2024 with the goal of empowering women across the state. It focuses on improving the economic independence, health and nutrition of women aged 21 to 65 years.

Under the scheme, eligible women receive a monthly financial support of ₹1,500, directly credited to their bank accounts. This initiative is part of the state’s broader efforts to boost women’s participation in the economy and strengthen their role within families.

Who Is Not Eligible?

Certain women are not eligible for the scheme, including:

  • Families with annual income above ₹2.50 lakh.
  • Households where any member is an income taxpayer or a government employee drawing pension.
  • Families owning a four-wheeled vehicle.
  • Households with members who are current or former MPs, MLAs, or board members of government bodies.
  • Beneficiaries already receiving ₹1,500 or more from other government schemes.

Conclusion

The extension of the e-KYC correction deadline provides a valuable opportunity for eligible women to receive the full benefit of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme. Beneficiaries should ensure their details are updated before 31 March 2026 to avoid delays in payments.
