The Delhi Government has announced that the registration portal for the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana will open on August 1, 2026. The scheme aims to provide eligible women with monthly financial assistance while promoting financial independence, education, healthcare, and skill development.

The decision to roll out the scheme was approved during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta at the Delhi Secretariat. The government has allocated ₹5,110 crore for the scheme in the 2026-27 Budget.

Delhi Lakshmi Yojana Registration Portal Opens on August 1,2026

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that eligible women can begin registering for the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana from August 1, 2026. Under the scheme, beneficiaries will receive ₹2,500 every month as financial assistance.

The government expects the initiative to benefit more than 17 lakh women across the national capital. The scheme is designed to improve financial security while encouraging greater participation in education, healthcare, savings, skill development, and social activities.

Who is Eligible for the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana?

To avail of the scheme, applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Women aged 21 to 60 years
  • Annual family income of up to ₹2.5 lakh
  • Must satisfy the eligibility conditions prescribed by the Delhi Government during registration

Eligible beneficiaries will receive the monthly financial assistance directly under the scheme after completing the registration process.

Budget Allocation and Objective

The Delhi Government has earmarked ₹5,110 crore in the 2026-27 Budget for the implementation of the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana. According to the Chief Minister, the initiative is intended to go beyond financial support by helping women become more self-reliant through better access to education, healthcare, skill development, savings, and increased social participation.
