Uber Launches Train Ticket Booking on App in Partnership With ixigo

Uber has added train ticket booking to its app through a partnership with ixigo. The new option was announced on August 18, 2026, and gives users another way to plan their travel through Uber, as per The Moneycontrol news reports.
Along with booking a ticket, users can also check their PNR status and use Uber for the ride to the railway station or from the station after reaching their destination.
Train Tickets Can Now Be Booked from Uber
Users can now book their train tickets directly from the Uber app. The app will also let them check the PNR status of their booking.
The train booking part of the service will use ixigo's technology. This means users can handle their train booking and Uber rides from the same app.
Uber Adds More Options for Intercity Travel
Uber has been adding more travel options for people going from one city to another in India.
With train booking now available, users can plan more of their journey from the same place. They can book the train and then use Uber to reach the railway station or get a ride after reaching the destination.
Railway Stations Already Part of Uber's Network
Uber already has pickup and drop-off zones at a number of railway stations in India.
These include stations in places such as Ahmedabad, Secunderabad and Howrah. The company also plans to add more major railway stations to this network.

The new service gives Uber users another option for planning these journeys.
