
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has commenced a 6-day visit to Indonesia, Australia, and New Zealand as per the news report. This visit aims to enhance India's strategic partnerships and economic engagements with these nations.
PM Modi will visit Indonesia from July 6 to July 8, 2026, at the invitation of President Prabowo Subianto. The visit seeks to deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, a relationship elevated during Modi's 2018 visit to Indonesia.
This trip follows President Prabowo's State Visit to India as the Chief Guest at the Republic Day celebrations in 2025. Modi will engage with the Indian diaspora and visit the Prambanan Temple complex in Yogyakarta with President Prabowo.
Following Indonesia, PM Modi will travel to Melbourne at the invitation of Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.
Discussions will focus on strengthening the India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, covering areas such as defence and security, trade and investment, education, mobility, emerging and critical technologies, sports, and people-to-people ties.
Modi will also interact with the Indian diaspora in Australia.

PM Modi's final stop will be Auckland, where he will meet New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon.
The visit aims to build on the momentum in bilateral ties following Luxon's visit to India in March last year. Discussions will focus on economic, trade, and commercial engagement between the two countries.
