As per the Sources To CNBC-TV 18, India’s Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal is set to travel to the UAE from September 17, 2025, to September 19, 2025, with a business delegation, focusing on investment talks and export facilitation aligned to Bharat Mart and broader market access goals.
The visit aligns with a high-level task force on investments on September 18, 2025 and September 19, 2025, where meetings with the UAE counterpart aim to fast-track trade facilitation and collaborations for exporters.
Bharat Mart at Jebel Ali Free Zone is advancing after its foundation stone was laid in February 2024, with design and on-ground work underway and completion targeted in 2026 to support Indian traders across the Middle East, Africa, and Eurasia. DP World has commenced construction for a 2.7 million sq ft hub with 1,500 showrooms and over 7,00,000 sq ft warehousing in phase 1 to enhance global reach for Indian goods.
The marketplace’s JAFZA location offers connectivity to Jebel Ali Port and Al Maktoum International Airport, enabling MSMEs to plug into multimodal routes that link 150 maritime destinations and 300-plus cities worldwide.
