The latest approvals cover 24 projects with a combined investment of ₹3,793.33 crore and are expected to create nearly 20,000 employment opportunities across diverse sectors.
Textile Projects Lead Employment Generation
Among all approved proposals, the textile and apparel segment emerged as the largest contributor to future job creation.
The biggest employment-generating project comes from Nandraj Textiles Private Limited, which plans to establish an apparel manufacturing facility in Khurda with an investment of ₹168.64 crore. The project is expected to generate 10,306 jobs.
Another major proposal was submitted by Shahi Exports Private Limited, which will invest ₹145.5 crore in a knitted garments manufacturing unit in Sambalpur, creating 1,840 jobs.
In Ganjam, Maa Taratarini Textile Park Private Limited received approval for a ₹70 crore integrated textile project that is expected to provide employment to 350 people.
The approvals were granted by the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority, chaired by Anu Garg, Chief Secretary of Odisha.
Manufacturing and Clean Energy Investments Gain Momentum
Several high-value projects were approved in advanced manufacturing and clean energy segments. CESC Green Power Limited secured approval to establish a Battery Energy Storage System manufacturing facility in Dhenkanal with an investment of ₹683.83 crore.
In Khurda, AVP Star Private Limited will invest ₹500 crore in a lab-grown diamond manufacturing facility, generating 500 jobs.
The state also approved a ₹60 crore proposal by Lithros Batteries India Private Limited to manufacture electric vehicles, batteries and inverters.
Additional manufacturing projects include a ₹215 crore steel fabrication unit by JSW Severfield Structures Limited in Jajpur, expected to create 1,400 jobs, and a ₹275.07 crore expansion project by Koshal Ceramics Private Limited in Jharsuguda, which is projected to generate 1,000 jobs.
Approvals were also granted for projects involving colour-coated steel products, stainless steel pipes and corrugated packaging materials.
Tourism and Logistics Projects Expand Regional Development
Tourism emerged as another major beneficiary, with eight projects receiving approval across Koraput, Keonjhar, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh and Mayurbhanj.
Swosti Premium Limited will develop a 5-star resort in Koraput with an investment of ₹250 crore, creating 480 jobs. Resort developments by SNM Hotels and Resorts Private Limited and Pratyaksh Hotel and Resorts Private Limited were also approved.
The state additionally cleared two logistics projects worth more than ₹215 crore. M S Infraengineers Private Limited will establish a warehousing-cum-logistics park in Sambalpur, while Inex Eco Logistics will develop logistics infrastructure in Balangir.
Consumer Products Segment Attracts Fresh Capital
In the consumer products sector, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Private Limited received approval for a ₹300 crore expansion of its aerated drinks facility in Khurda.
Other approved proposals include a bar soap manufacturing unit by Jai Bhawani Foods Private Limited and a food processing project by Ekansh Agro Food Products Private Limited.
The latest approvals reflect Odisha's strategy of distributing industrial investments across multiple districts rather than concentrating development in a limited number of locations.
While Khurda attracted the largest share of investments, significant projects were also approved in Koraput, Sambalpur, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Dhenkanal, Balangir, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.
