The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has signed a contract worth ₹449 crore with Bengaluru-based Accord Software and Systems Private Limited (ASSPL) for the supply of 20 Enhanced Capability Global Navigation Satellite System (ECGNSS) Jammers for the Indian Navy, as per a PIB report.
The agreement was signed in New Delhi on June 10, 2026, in the presence of Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh.
The procurement has been made under the Buy (Indian–Indigenously Designed, Developed and Manufactured) category.
The ministry said the systems will have at least 75% indigenous content, making them part of the government's domestic defence manufacturing programme.
This contract strengthens national maritime security while reaffirming the Government’s commitment to 'Aatmanirbhar Bharat' and the 'Make-in-India' initiative.
The ECGNSS Jammers are intended to interfere with Global Navigation Satellite System signals used by adversaries.
Their capacity includes reducing signal acquisition and tracking by enemy GNSS receivers, as well as carrying out signal spoofing and deceptive jamming.
According to the ministry, the equipment is to support Indian Navy ships operating in multi-threat environments where electronic warfare measures may be required.
The procurement adds to the Navy's inventory of indigenous electronic warfare systems developed for maritime applications.
