The Karnataka government has introduced a limited-time traffic fine waiver scheme, giving vehicle owners a 50% rebate on pending e-challans. Effective from August 21, 2025, this initiative is aimed at easing penalty settlements and reducing pending cases across the state. Here's how you can make your payment with ease.

50% E-Challan Waiver Scheme Details and Validity

The Karnataka Traffic Police has initiated a 50% discount on all pending traffic e-challans issued before the scheme commencement date. This waiver began on August 21, 2025, and allows payments at reduced rates until September 15, 2025. Vehicle owners with outstanding challans can benefit from this scheme by paying through official portals or approved centres.

Steps to Check and Pay Traffic Fines Online

Enter your mobile number to receive an OTP, then input your vehicle number to view the details. Select your challan and proceed to pay with your choice of online payment method.

Alternative Payment Via Paytm Mobile Application

Paytm users can easily pay challans by opening the app, going to “Bill Payments”, selecting “Challan” under transit options, and choosing “Bangalore Traffic Police” as the authority. Enter the challan ID or vehicle number, verify your due amount with the 50% discount applied, and complete the payment using UPI, debit card, credit card, or Net Banking.
