Indian Railways Achieves 80% Overall Punctuality in December 2025

As per PIB report, Indian Railways has made significant strides in improving its operational efficiency, achieving an overall punctuality rate of 80% from December 8-14, 2025.

Top Performing Divisions of Indian Railways
Among the divisions, Ratlam (Western Railway) led the way with an impressive 98.5% punctuality rate. Tiruchchirappalli and Madurai, both part of Southern Railway, followed closely with 97.5% and 96.7% respectively.
These divisions have set a benchmark for operational excellence within the Indian Railways network.

Out of all the divisions, 37 managed to achieve a punctuality rate above 80%. Notably, 22 divisions surpassed the 90% mark, and 10 divisions exceeded 95%.
