The India-UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA) could help increase bilateral trade to $115 billion by 2030, according to a study released by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (Assocham).
The industry body said the agreement, which came into force on July 15, 2026, is projected to expand trade while supporting employment generation over the coming years.
Trade Outlook Under the Agreement

Infrastructure and Business Reforms

He said these measures would help support the country's efforts to realise the opportunities offered by the trade agreement.
Engineering Goods Among Key Beneficiaries
Minda said the engineering goods sector is expected to benefit from the agreement.
He added that stronger growth in the sector could provide an impetus to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and contribute to job creation.
