The Delhi Startup and Incubation Policy is strategically designed to support innovation, research, and entrepreneurship with a funding commitment of ₹400 crore over 5 years. The policy encompasses 11 state universities, 13 government-aided colleges, polytechnics, industrial training institutes, and government schools.
Eligible institutions will receive one-time financial assistance to establish or bolster their incubation centres, leading to a nurturing environment for budding startups. This significant financial boost is intended to create a robust infrastructure for the city's innovation ecosystem.
An annual Delhi Startup Youth Festival will be organised under this policy. This event aims to bring together young innovators, educational institutions, startups, investors, industry representatives, and policymakers on a common platform.
The festival will serve as a venue for showcasing new ideas, forging valuable partnerships, and inspiring young minds towards entrepreneurship. The initiative aspires to cultivate a culture of innovation and support budding entrepreneurs in turning their ideas into successful ventures.
