The Corporate Mitra Programme, announced in the Union Budget 2026-27, has opened registrations for its inaugural batch on the SWAYAM Plus platform. The initiative is being implemented jointly by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) under the guidance of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA).

The programme aims to develop a pool of certified para-professionals capable of supporting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Successful participants will receive a Corporate Mitra Certificate upon completion of the course and training requirements.

Corporate Mitra Programme Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in applying must satisfy specific eligibility conditions. Applicants should either be graduates or final-year undergraduate students pursuing their degree.

In addition, candidates must be 30 years of age or younger at the time of application. The eligibility framework is designed to attract young individuals seeking professional opportunities in the MSME support ecosystem.

Corporate Mitra Programme Seats and Selection Process

The first cohort of the programme has been limited to 2,000 participants. Out of the total intake, 200 seats have been reserved for candidates from the North Eastern region. A

dmissions will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis, making early registration important for eligible applicants. The structured intake is intended to facilitate effective training and practical exposure for participants.

Corporate Mitra Course Duration and Training Structure

The Corporate Mitra Programme extends over a period of 12 months and consists of 2 distinct phases. The first phase covers approximately 150 hours of self-paced online learning over 6 months through the SWAYAM Plus platform.

The second phase involves 6 months of practical on-the-job training with recognised professional firms. Participants who successfully complete both stages will be awarded the Corporate Mitra Certificate.

Corporate Mitra Registration Fee and Benefits

The registration fee for the programme has been set at ₹3,000 plus GST. A 50% fee concession is available for women candidates and applicants from the North Eastern Region, Himalayan states and regions, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.

The certification will enable participants to support MSMEs in areas such as accounting, GST and taxation, financial management, statutory compliance, secretarial services, and cost and management functions. The programme has been designed to provide affordable professional assistance to MSMEs while creating employment opportunities for young professionals.
