Commercial LPG Prices Reduced by Around ₹200 While ATF Rises and Domestic LPG Remains Unchanged

Oil marketing companies (OMCs) have reduced the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders by around ₹200 across the country, providing relief to businesses that rely on LPG for daily operations.
The revised prices came into effect on August 1, 2026, marking the second reduction in commercial LPG rates since the easing of the conflict in West Asia.
Commercial LPG Prices Revised Across Metros
Following the latest revision, a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder is priced at ₹2,738 in Delhi, ₹2,691.50 in Mumbai, ₹2,906 in Chennai, and ₹2,872.50 in Kolkata.
Among the four metros, Kolkata recorded the largest reduction of ₹209 per cylinder. Delhi saw a reduction of around ₹192-202, while Mumbai and Chennai recorded cuts of ₹194 and ₹200, respectively.
Domestic LPG Remains Unchanged
The latest revision applies only to commercial LPG cylinders. Prices of 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders used by households remain unchanged.
Meanwhile, the 5-kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinder, mainly used by migrant workers, has become about ₹46.50 cheaper, with the revised Delhi price at ₹762 per cylinder.
ATF Prices Move Higher
While commercial cooking fuel became cheaper, aviation turbine fuel (ATF) prices increased by around ₹5 per litre.
The revised ATF price for domestic scheduled airlines now stands at ₹115 per litre.
Second Price Cut Since West Asia Tensions
The latest reduction follows a ₹183 cut announced on July 1, taking the cumulative decline in commercial LPG prices to around ₹380 per cylinder across the two revisions.
Before these reductions, commercial LPG prices had increased by around ₹1,345 per cylinder across four revisions since March 7, driven by supply concerns linked to the conflict in West Asia. The 5-kg FTL cylinder has also become around ₹60 cheaper over the two downward revisions.
