The Chhattisgarh Cabinet has approved a proposal to list the state-owned Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Company Ltd (CSPTCL) through an Initial Public Offering (IPO), as per a PTI news report.

The decision was taken during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. The company's board has been authorised to complete the formalities required for the proposed listing.

New Support for Farmers

The Cabinet also approved changes to the Krishak Unnati Yojana for the 2026 kharif season.

Farmers cultivating pulses, oilseeds, maize, kodo millet, kutki, ragi and cotton will be eligible for input assistance of ₹15,000 per acre.

The same support will be available to farmers shifting from paddy cultivation to these crops.

The benefit will be linked to registration on the Integrated Farmer Portal, Agristack enrolment and Digital Crop Survey records.

E-Bus Scheme and Mining Rules

The state government approved consent for a Direct Debit Mandate under the Payment Security Mechanism for the Prime Minister's e-Bus Service Scheme.

The approval is expected to facilitate the operation of 240 electric buses sanctioned for Raipur, Durg-Bhilai, Bilaspur, and Korba.

The Cabinet also cleared amendments to the Chhattisgarh Minerals (Mining, Transportation and Storage) Rules, 2009.

Under the revised rules, vehicles carrying minerals will be required to use RFID tags and vehicle tracking systems.

Technology-based methods for checking mineral grade and quantity will also be introduced.

Other Cabinet Decisions

Another proposal approved by the Cabinet transfers the yoga subject from the Social Welfare Department to the Medical Education Department.

The state currently provides farmers ₹3,100 per quintal for paddy procurement, including the minimum support price fixed by the Centre and additional input assistance provided by the state government.
