Tata-owned Air India has entered into a strategic interline agreement with Taiwan-based STARLUX Airlines, enabling seamless travel between India and Taiwan. This partnership is expected to expand route options and ease passenger experience by offering single-ticket itineraries across both carriers through shared Southeast Asia hubs.
On October 8, 2025, Air India announced an interline agreement with STARLUX Airlines, a luxury boutique carrier from Taiwan. The agreement allows passengers to book a single ticket for journeys involving flights operated by both airlines. Air India will now gain indirect access to Taipei via key Southeast Asian hubs such as Singapore, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City and Kuala Lumpur.
STARLUX Airlines will enable Indian travellers to reach Taipei more smoothly, while also providing Taiwan-based passengers enhanced connectivity to Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru through the same Southeast Asian transit cities. With STARLUX already operating over 30 routes, including to the US, Japan, Malaysia and Indonesia, this partnership significantly broadens Air India’s global reach via connecting flights.

Prior to this announcement, Air India launched India’s first non-stop flight to the Philippines on October 1, 2025, from Delhi to Manila. With the new interline agreement, Tata-owned Air India advances its plan to become a global aviation leader and transform long-haul connectivity from India across Asia and beyond.
The partnership between Air India and STARLUX Airlines marks a significant step in expanding mutual network coverage and offering greater travel convenience between India and Taiwan. The collaboration builds on shared ambitions for quality service and seamless international connectivity, adding value for both business and leisure flyers.
