Gold and silver traded higher today, in early trade on August 17, 2026, as tensions between the US and Iran continued to have impact on the bullion markets. 

As per the news reports, gold futures gained 0.31% on COMEX to $4,451.10 per ounce, while silver rose 1.09% to $65.815 per ounce.  

On August 14, 2026, spot gold on MCX ended the session at ₹1,51,744 per 10 grams and the LBMA gold price was $4,390.70 per ounce. 

Gold Prices in India on August 17, 2026 

As of August 17, 2026, 8:49 AM, gold was priced at ₹1,55,120 per 10 grams for 24K purity. The corresponding rates for 22K and 18K gold were ₹1,42,190 and ₹1,16,340. 

Rates differed across New Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai. The city-wise figures are based on the per-gram prices provided in the data.

Silver Prices in India on August 17, 2026 

Silver futures on COMEX stood at $65.815 per ounce after rising 1.09% during morning trade on August 17. The supplied data does not include silver prices for individual Indian cities. 

The movement came alongside a rise in gold futures, with COMEX gold trading at $4,451.10 per ounce. The LBMA gold price from the August 14 PM fixing was lower at $4,390.70 per ounce.
