BEML Limited, a premier defence public sector enterprise, has won a significant ₹136 crore contract from the Ministry of Defence for High Mobility Vehicles (HMVs) 8×8. This achievement aligns with the Government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, aimed at strengthening indigenous capabilities in defence manufacturing.
The HMVs will be integral to the Battle Field Surveillance System (BFSS) Project, bolstering India’s strategic defence infrastructure. Following the announcement, BEML’s share price gained over 3% as of December 11, 2024, at 11:55 am.
