Asian Paints highlighted that the paint industry experienced a weak demand environment during the September quarter of fiscal 2025.
Volumes in the Domestic Decorative coatings segment saw a slight decline, and overall domestic coatings revenue dropped by 5.5%.
This was mainly due to subdued consumer sentiment and prolonged rains and floods in some regions.

Asian Paints noted that soft demand, product mix shifts, and material price inflation had a negative effect.
