
The Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY), introduced to encourage formal employment, will see incentives worth around ₹2,400 crore distributed at a programme in New Delhi on June 19. 2026.
As per an official announcement, the disbursal will take place in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
PM-VBRY came into effect on August 1, 2025, with a total allocation of ₹99,446 crore. The scheme targets the creation of more than 3.5 crore jobs over 2 years.
Of the total projected beneficiaries, around 1.92 crore are expected to be individuals entering the formal workforce for the first time.
First-time employees covered under the scheme can receive financial assistance of up to ₹15,000. Employers hiring additional workers are eligible for incentives of up to ₹3,000 per month for each qualifying employee.
The financial support is linked to new employment generated under the scheme.
The duration of incentives varies across sectors. Manufacturing establishments can claim benefits for 4 years, while employers in other sectors are eligible for incentives for up to 2 years.
The scheme also seeks to increase the number of workers covered under formal employment and social security systems.

The latest incentive disbursal comes under the Centre's employment-linked incentive scheme, which seeks to support job creation across sectors through financial assistance for eligible employees and employers.
