Entry Load

Entry load refers to a fee imposed by the Asset Management Company (AMC) on investors when purchasing a specific financial scheme. This charge has been prohibited by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) since August 2009. This means that investors are no longer required to pay an entry load when investing in a scheme. This regulation was implemented to protect the interests of investors and promote transparency in the financial market.
